main.c: The player_egid variable needs to be set for all SET_UID code, not just HAVE_SETEGID. The relevant code should read like this:

BTW, the comments could also use some cleanup.

Finding my way back to the surface after running out of light I picked up some "copper" on the way. This became item(s) [letter a) copper, weight 0.0lb] in the inventory which I couldnt figure out how to get rid of as none of the inventory management commands allowed access to these item letters. i.e. I couldnt drop destroy or sell this stuff!

I believe in pr1 I saw the same problem and got a whole set of these items, in pr2 I've only got one although I picked up several piles of copper.
