  • Ticket #631 – Description

    initial v1
    11Here's the current behavior:
    22
    3 * Enchanting to-hit/to-dam:
     3 * Enchanting to-hit/to-dam:
    44  * weapon/bow: yes
    55  * ring/amulet: no
    66  * armor part: no
    7
    8 * Disenchanting to-hit/to-dam:
     7 * Disenchanting to-hit/to-dam:
    98  * weapon/bow: yes
    109  * ring/amulet: no
    1110  * armor part: yes
    12
    13 * Enchanting to-ac:
     11 * Enchanting to-ac:
    1412  * weapon/bow: no
    1513  * ring/amulet: no
    1614  * armor part: yes
    17
    18 * Disenchanting to-ac:
     15 * Disenchanting to-ac:
    1916  * weapon/bow: yes
    2017  * ring/amulet: no

    2219
2320What seems incoherent here is the following:
24 * armor parts can lose to-hit/to-dam but can never get it back (ego gloves)
25 * armor parts can lose to-hit/to-dam, but not rings/amulets (amulets of weaponmastery...)
26 * weapons can lose to-ac but can never get it back (defenders, holy avengers...)
27 * weapons can lose to-ac, but not rings/amulets (rings of flame, amulets of the magi...)
21 * armor parts can lose to-hit/to-dam but can never get it back (ego gloves)
22 * armor parts can lose to-hit/to-dam, but not rings/amulets (amulets of weaponmastery...)
23 * weapons can lose to-ac but can never get it back (defenders, holy avengers...)
24 * weapons can lose to-ac, but not rings/amulets (rings of flame, amulets of the magi...)
    2825
2926I would suggest to limit disenchantment to innate bonuses: to-hit/to-dam for wielded objects, to-ac for worn items. This would fix the problem the easy way.
