creeping coins dropping invisible gold

I'm not sure if this applies to other creatures, but the gold dropped by creeping gold coins doesn't show up on the map. Targeting mode doesn't see it, and there is no "$" symbol, but if you walk on the square you do pick up 35 gp (or whatever).

Is this the same bug mentioned here?
If it is, the gold dropped by everything else is invisible too (including all 'flavors' of gold). Walking over the monsters death area or accidentally running through it is the only way to locate it.

I'm still not sure what's going on... with one character I get this bug, but with another it's fine. I will need to wait until I get home to work on this more (that's where the character seeing the bug is).

Fixed in [8e3b393] (SVN r1514), albeit in a somewhat hamfisted way. I explicitly made sure that items with tval == TV_GOLD never squelch.

It seems like new savefiles aren't affected by this bug--I was only able to replicate it with an older savefile. It would have been better to clean up the savefile, but I couldn't figure out where the squelch bits were coming from.
