#1299 closed bug (fixed (in master))

COFF object files included in angband-3.2.0.tar.gz source tarball

Reported by: pete Owned by:
Milestone: 3.2.0 Keywords: build

Note: This is probably just a simple mistake in the process of creating the 3.2.0 source-distribution tarball.

The angband-3.2.0.tar.gz file (md5sum 0497188f8862600ef0193c85680cefce), as is currently available from, contains COFF object files. These appear to break the build process.

When building on an i686 Linux host (eg. "./configure && make") I get this puzzling error:

Successfully generated dependencies.
attack.o: file not recognized: File format not recognized

Running "make clean" to get rid of the object files (eg. "make clean && make") builds correctly, but obviously the object files should not be there at all. :-)
